CALL US AS SOON AS THIS IS SCHEDULED
Whenever your insurance provider contacts you with questions, your go-to reply should be, “That’s an interesting question; please discuss it with my contractor.”
ADJUSTER MEETING
During the adjuster’s visit, a Davis Roofing Solutions representative will be present to advocate for your roof’s coverage by your insurance. The absence of a contractor at this meeting significantly decreases the chance of your insurance approving the roof replacement.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT AND ESTIMATION
After your insurance declares the roof a total loss, they will calculate the repair costs, known as the Replacement Cost Value (RCV). The depreciation, based on the roof’s age, is deducted from the RCV, with the outcome termed the Actual Cost Value (ACV). From the ACV, your deductible is subtracted. This is your obligation, not the insurer’s. The sum after this subtraction is the Net Claim, which will be the total of the first check issued by your insurance.
PROCESSING PAYMENT
Upon receiving the initial check, Davis Roofing Solutions will collect it along with your deductible at the same time. Your role is simply to endorse the insurance check without the need to cash or deposit it yourself. We will handle depositing these checks into our account and proceed to plan your roof’s installation.
NOTE: It’s common for your mortgage company to be named on the check. Rest assured, we will handle obtaining their endorsement on your behalf. All that’s required from you is to sign an authorization form, and we’ll manage everything else.
INSTALLATION PROCESS
The installation usually completes within a day. We ask that you secure any delicate lawn decorations and clear the driveway of vehicles. This allows us to place our trailer and materials conveniently, and prevent any damage to your vehicle during the installation.
COORDINATING ADDITIONAL TRADES
Claims often cover other repairs like gutters, window screens, fences, garage doors, and chimney components. We aim to address these additional trades promptly following the roof installation.
COMPLETING THE CLAIM
Upon finishing all related trades, we’ll send your insurance a final invoice and completion certificate, and discuss any extra payments needed. Your insurance may reach out for confirmation of completed work. Please, verify with us before confirming with your insurance. Once everything is settled, your insurance will issue the depreciation and any other outstanding payments.
FINAL PAYMENT HANDLING
When you receive the final payment, you’ll just need to endorse it to us. We’ll handle the deposit and conclude your project. At project closure, we’ll process your manufacturer warranty and provide you with a Class 3 or Class 4 form for potential insurance premium negotiations.
YOUR SUPPORT THROUGH REFERRALS AND REVIEWS
After project completion, if you’re fully satisfied, we’d appreciate a Google review and sharing your experience with others. We offer referral fees for any projects referred to us that we undertake.
