INSPECTION / EVALUATION
Understanding whether your roof needs repair or complete roof replacement starts with our assessment. Our experts can swiftly identify storm damage and evaluate your roof’s condition. For minor repairs, we’re happy to offer these at no charge. If more extensive action is required, we’ll guide you through initiating a claim with your insurance and navigate you through the process. Here’s what to expect if a claim is initiated:
SCHEDULE ADJUSTER APPOINTMENT
Following your claim submission, your insurance should contact you to arrange an adjuster meeting.
CALL US AS SOON AS THIS IS SCHEDULED
Once you’ve set up the adjuster meeting, direct any questions from your insurance to us by responding, “That’s a good question; please discuss it with my contractor.”
ADJUSTER MEETING
A Davis Roofing Solutions representative will attend the adjuster meeting to advocate for your roof’s coverage by your insurance. The presence of a contractor significantly increases the likelihood of your roof being covered.
FIRST CHECK & ESTIMATE
After your insurance declares the roof a total loss, they’ll provide an estimate for repairs, known as the Replacement Cost Value (RCV). The roof’s age will determine its depreciation, deducted from the RCV to find the Actual Cost Value (ACV). After subtracting your deductible, the result is the Net Claim, which will be the amount of the first insurance check issued to you.
PAYMENT PROCEDURE
Upon receiving your first check, we collect it along with your deductible. There’s no need to cash or deposit the check yourself; simply endorse it to us. We’ll handle depositing these checks and then schedule your installation.
Note: Your mortgage company might be listed on the check. We’ll manage obtaining their endorsement for you. You’ll only need to sign an authorization form, and we’ll take care of the rest.
INSTALLATION
The installation usually completes in about a day. We ask that you secure any fragile items in your lawn and clear your driveway for our materials and trailer, protecting your vehicle from potential damage.
COMPLETING ADDITIONAL TRADES
Claims often include other trades like gutters, window screens, and more. We aim to complete these additional tasks promptly after installing your roof.
FINAL INVOICE AND SECOND CHECK
Once all related trades are finished, we’ll send a final invoice and completion certificate to your insurance and negotiate any extra payments. Your insurance might reach out for confirmation of completed work. Check with us before confirming back to your insurance. They will then issue a depreciation check and settle any remaining dues.
FINAL PAYMENT
For the final payment, similar to the first check, you’ll simply endorse it over to us for deposit, finalizing your project. Upon project completion, we’ll file your manufacturer warranty and, if applicable, provide a class 3 or class 4 form for you to negotiate your premium with your insurance.
