INSPECTION AND EVALUATION
We cannot ascertain whether your roof needs repairs or a complete replacement without conducting a detailed assessment. Our specialists are adept at identifying storm damage and assessing the condition of your roof. Should we determine that only minor repairs are needed, we will address these at no extra cost. For more substantial issues, we will assist you in navigating the insurance claim process and provide support throughout. If it becomes clear that filing a claim is the best course of action, the process generally proceeds as follows:
SCHEDULING THE ADJUSTER MEETING
Once you’ve submitted your claim, your insurance provider will get in touch to schedule a meeting with an adjuster.
CALL US AS SOON AS THIS IS SCHEDULED
Moving forward, ensure any inquiries from your insurance are directed to us, your contractor, to guarantee you have continuous support.
ADJUSTER MEETING
A representative from Davis Roofing Solutions will be present at the adjuster meeting to advocate for your roof’s coverage. Having a contractor on site significantly improves the chances of your roof being covered by insurance.
FIRST CHECK & ESTIMATE
If your insurance determines the roof to be a total loss, they will calculate the repair costs, referred to as the Replacement Cost Value (RCV). Depreciation, based on the age of the roof, is then subtracted from the RCV to arrive at the Actual Cost Value (ACV). Your deductible is deducted from the ACV to determine the Net Claim, which is the amount of the initial check your insurance will issue.
PAYMENT PROCESS
When you receive the first insurance check, we will collect it along with your deductible. All you need to do is endorse the insurance check to us; there’s no need for you to cash or deposit it yourself. We will handle the deposit of both checks and proceed to schedule your roofing installation.
